We champion solutions that deliver change: for our nation, society and planet. Bustanica operates one of the world’s largest indoor vertical farms and produces over a million kg of produce a year. Its innovative methods require 95% less water, don’t use pesticides, herbicides or fungicides, and with our precise closed loop irrigation ensures no contamination of water sources, soil degradation or waste.
Bustanica, meaning your garden or orchard in Arabic, is a historic milestone for the UAE. A subsidiary of Emirates Flight Catering (EKFC), one of the world’s largest catering operations serving more than 100 airlines, we are proud to serve this nation; helping to enrich its communities, address its needs and contribute to its happiness.
Uses up to 95% less water (15 litres for 1kg of produce) than traditional outdoor farming (317 litres for 1kg of produce).
